Yesterday instead of pulling my 24 hour shift, my work had asked me to go work for a client to get him ready for church. Basically give him a bath, and get him dressed. So I had to drive into Belvidere for about a hour shift, but pays a flat rate. I get paid the same if it takes 20 minutes or two hours. I was a little shocked by the fact that they guy didn't look all that old. My guess would be that his age was 60 to 65 years of age. He couldn't walk, only had use of one side of his body, and very little speech.
It's weird how one person can be almost a 100 years old, and still get around with the help of a walker, or the help of a walker and caregiver following behind them for safety reasons. While another person can be 30 or 40 years younger, and be stuck in a bed or wheelchair.
I was proud of myself because I got myself to Belvidere and back without getting too lost, then I had to head to my regular client's home. I was a little late because I take the back ways.
It was a pretty quiet uneventful day. I asked Bob if it would be okay if I took a little walk. It was nice to get out for a while. Later in the evening, Bob gets down on the floor to do his floor exersices. Sandy gets up and wants to get on the floor to. I manage to get her on the floor, but she didn't quite know what to do once she got there. (This isn't something she does normally. ) So to get her to understand, I got on the floor to show her. So all three of us is on the floor, working are arms and legs. She grabs my hand and holds it. That is just priceless, you can't pay for that.
We checked out a day care for Tyler. We finally found one that we both like, there was something about her, that I really liked. They had a big dog, a couple guniea pigs, fish tank and I think a cat. There house wasn't perfectly clean, or did she try to hide the fact. She didn't seem fake either. Tyler loves that fact that she has a pool in her backyard. Well got to go for now.

If anyone can't already tell, i loved all the men in uniform. I have a lot of respect for the police and firemen/women, who put their life on the line, everyday. MMMM don't for get the Army, Navy, Marines, Air force, and coastguards. They are awesome. But I can't hep but love the way they look. mmmmmmm Sexy!!!! Gots to love them. The two policemen above posed, just for me. If you don't ask, you don't get.
Keep tuned in for more pictures from the 4Th of July, and other fun stuff. Don't forget the mushy stuff, because I am a girl.

I wish I was at Magic Waters with Tyler. He is so lucky, what I would give to be a kid again and get summers off. For Tyler this is actully his first summer vacation without school. I think he is having a blast.
Work is going ok. No arguements about getting a shower this morning, and no forgetting her brain,(those are her words not mine) . My weekend starts friday morning. Will be spending the weekend with us, hopefully we will have a great 4th of July. Bye now.

Tyler has been enjoying the summer camp. The free camp is suddenly not so free anymore. They have cookouts and field trips they go on. Monday was a walking trip to Bk and tomorrow, they are going to Magic Waters. It's not a whole lot of money but it adds up. We bought him a Little cooler/lunch box for tomorrow and many other days. I am glad the park district runs programs like this. It keeps him busy and having fun with other children, without costing too much money. He attends the camp about 4-5 days a week. It's hard to believe July is here already. Summers just go by way too fast.
Ann has been banished to the dog run when outside not being watched. She is just too destructive to be out there alone. She gets to spend sometime inside, and I try to play with her out there , so she can run. She has this toy called Kong, that you fill with something like peanut butter. We throw it and she chases after it. It was more than I wanted to spend but it's been worth it. The cheapy toys, she just chews to pieces. Ann isn't getting as big as, I would expect for a lab. That's ok though
Marty the kitty is getting bigger. It has a lot of energy. If I could bottle it, and sell it, we could get rich.
Tad braided my hair in two braids. I feel like a little kid, but oh well. I love getting my hair braided. Long hair can be a major pain. But when it's braided, it looks good and comfortable on my head. If I dye it red, then I can be pippy long stockings.
My clients are doing well. Sandy hasn't been talking anymore about not feeling well. Except for her forgetfulness, which is to be expected. Sometimes it's easy get her to understand, everything is a ok, other times she gets mad. but I am happy, she don't say she is sick anymore. Today she did say. "I can hardly believe I am 97 years old, until I get up and walk, then I can believe it. I think I am too close to them. I can't stand the thought of changing jobs right now. I got to see them to the end. Sadly most likely, I can only see one of them to the end. Because one can't get care without the other, for reasons, I won't mention. That don't mean that as a nice person, I can't go see them. But I wouldn't be able to take care of them. Well enough for now, bye for now.
